Description
This artwork depicts a Pennsylvania stone farm house on a cold winter, full moonlight night. The night air is cold and still as the wood smoke from two chimneys rises straight up and dissipates into the night air. The children have already been sent to bed on the second floor of the farm house and have yet to blow out the lamp. The farmer is returning from the barn and pauses to reflect upon the glorious scene spread out before him. He lingers only momentarily in the sub freezing chill and then hurries quickly to the grateful warmth of the kitchen stove where his wife has just poured him a steaming cup of hot chocolate. All is well!
